There have been several more rustlings in the world of WWE in the last 24 hours, with talk of matches planned and stars moving around the industry.
WrestleMania is now less than two weeks away, and though the card may look stacked with almost everything set in stone, plans are still being made for beyond the company’s flagship event of the year.
While some stars are pushing for more air time and others are returning from injury, many are looking at future matches and what they can do with their careers going forward.
Interest remains high in some of the company and industry’s biggest talents and what they may do next – whether that’s imminent, later this year, or a bit further down the line.

John Cena vs Logan Paul
GiveMeSport reports that 16-time WWE champion Cena could be set to face Paul at SummerSlam this year.
SummerSlam is WWE’s second biggest event of the year behind only WrestleMania, which takes place in less than two weeks’ time in Las Vegas.
While Cena will face Austin Theory for the United States championship, Paul will take on Seth Rollins in a rivalry that has become incredibly heated in recent times.
But with both Cena and Paul more part-time wrestlers these days, their futures appear to be settled early on, five months out from SummerSlam.

Orton closing in on return
Randy Orton hasn’t wrestled since May last year, when he and tag-team partner Matt Riddle lost their titles to The Usos.
He has been dealing with a back issue since, with his return date remaining uncertain throughout the duration of his time away.
In that time Riddle has enjoyed a short run as a singles star, before taking time away himself to attend rehab.
According to PW Insider, however, there have been initial talks backstage about Orton’s return to the ring.
Although it’s still unclear when that will be, plans are reportedly being made about the route he will take upon his return to WWE.

Mercedes Mone open to WWE homecoming
Mercedes Mone left WWE for good earlier this year when she made her debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The former Sasha Banks first walked out on WWE alongside tag-team partner Naomi in May of last year after a disagreement with senior management while her future was unclear.
She remains a free agent and recently told Sportsmail of her pride and joy in being so, meaning it looks as if that won’t change any time soon.
But Mone is seemingly open to one day returning to WWE, where she was a multi-time champion and WrestleMania main-eventer.
Via WrestleTalk, Mone opened up on who she would like to face if she returned to the company, noting that she ‘really likes’ Zoey Stark, ‘isn’t done’ with Bailey and that she would also pick out Natalya.

Stone Cold’s WrestleMania status
Stone Cold Steve Austin says he ‘hasn’t heard’ about a WrestleMania appearance
The Rattlesnake known as Stone Cold Steve Austin has told The Wrestling Classic that he ‘hasn’t heard anything’ about a possible appearance at WrestleMania 39.
The event will take place over two days, April 1 and April 2, with Austin touted for the event by many following his successful appearance last year.
He came out of a 20-year retirement to main event night one against Kevin Owens, leading to talk of more matches in the promotion going forward.
The 58-year-old has been linked with several segments in the build-up to the event, including a match with Roman Reigns and a segment with LA Knight.
But he’s either lying, bluffing or simply telling the truth when he says he’s not heard anything, and, if he’s to be believed, it’s possible fans won’t be seeing Austin at WrestleMania this year.
