Spider-Man: No Way Home has continued to dominate the box office in its sixth consecutive week of release.
The Tom Holland-starring feature has proven to be a favorite with moviegoers over the past month, and it added a solid $14.1 million to its domestic gross, according to Deadline.
The added influx of revenue brought the Marvel movie’s grand domestic total to an impressive $721.5 million.
The media outlet also reported that the superhero flick has since become the 4th-highest grossing film at the domestic box office.
The Marvel flick is currently 31% ahead of the James Cameron-directed movie at the same point of release.
However, the superhero film will need to keep maintaining the top spot at the box office over the next few weeks in order to beat the gross of the sci-fi epic.
Spider-Man: No Way Home has since become the sixth-highest grossing movie worldwide, after having overtaken both Jurassic World and The Lion King.
The feature has taken in an impressive grand total of $1.69 billion after it was originally released to the public last December.
$970.1 million of the movie’s intake has come from non-US territories.
Trailing the blockbuster was the slasher flick Scream, which took in a healthy $12.4 million over the weekend.
The fifth installment in the meta-horror franchise, which featured recurring cast members Courteney Cox and David Arquette, has grossed $51.3 million since its release, which occurred earlier this month.
The movie’s team has since expressed an interest in producing a sixth film in the series.
Coming in at third place was the star-studded children’s animated jukebox musical feature Sing 2.
The film, which featured the talents of performers such as Reese Witherspoon and Matthew McConaughey, as well as singers Bono and Halsey, brought in $5.7 million at the box office over the past three days.
The Garth Jennings-directed movie has since grossed a grand total of $128.4 million.
Coming in at fourth and fifth place at the box office were the faith-based romance feature Redeeming Love and the spy-comedy flick The King’s Man.
