Scarlett Johansson looked every inch the glamorous movie star while supporting husband Colin Jost at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.
The Black Widow actress, 39 — who has been married to the Saturday Night Live comedian since 2020 — effortlessly commanded attention upon her arrival at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.
Her signature blonde locks cascaded elegantly around her shoulders, adding to her allure as she flashed a radiant smile at tuxedo-clad Colin, the host of the prestigious annual gala.
The adorable couple — who share 2-year-old son Cosmo — held hands on the red carpet, stopping to share a laugh, proving that their romance is still going strong.
Scarlett’s sweet act of solidarity comes a day after she had her beau’s back at the Creative Artists Agency (CAA) Kickoff Party for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The couple were seen posing alongside her agent, Joe Machota, and CAA co-chairman, Bryan Lourd.
Colin headlines the WHCD, drawing A-listers, comedians, journalists, and prominent politicians.
Among the distinguished guests expected to attend are President Joe Biden, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.
‘Colin Jost knows how to make Saturday nights funny, and I am thrilled Colin will be live from the nation’s capital as the headline entertainer for this year’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner,’ Kelly O’Donnell, president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, previously said in a statement.
‘His sharp insights perfectly meet this remarkable time of divided politics, and a presidential campaign careening toward a rematch,’ she added.
‘His smart brand of comedy and keen observation will turn up the heat on the national news media and across the political spectrum.’
Colin continues the tradition of notable comedians who have headlined the dinner in previous years, joining the ranks of Roy Wood Jr., Trevor Noah, Jay Leno, Keegan-Michael Key, and others.
Scarlett, who also shares Rose, nine, with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac, opened up about her and Colin’s son’s unique name in 2022.
The talented actress told the backstory and reaction to the name during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Scarlett stated that both herself and her husband, ‘threw a bunch of letters together. I just really thought it was charming and our friends liked it.’
However, her mother-in-law was not initially fond of the name at first. ‘Colin’s mom had a little bit of a harder time with it.’
‘She kept suggesting other versions of it for a while. I was like, ‘He’s already here. He’s out. Like, it’s past that time,’ Scarlett lightheartedly added.
The Avengers alum expressed that her daughter, Rose, was a big fan of the name Cosmo, since, like herself, was based off of a flower.
‘Cosmo is a really sweet little flower that comes in different shades of orange and yellow and stuff like that,’ the talented actress explained during the interview. ‘That’s why my daughter liked it too.’
Scarlett and Colin, who married in 2020, announced the arrival of their son in August 2021.
Colin has also told how his mother ‘didn’t quite understand’ their choice for their son’s name, when he made a guest appearance on Late Night With Seth Myers.
‘After three or four days, she would be like, ‘Cosmo? Is it final? Did you submit the birth certificate?’ We were like, ‘Oh yeah, we did that at the hospital’
‘She’s like, ‘OK. Interesting. Because I was reading that there’s also a name, Cosimo, with an ‘I’. So that could also be an option. Maybe you call him Cosimo, that’s his real name, and then you could call him still Cosmo?’ the comedian added.
Scarlett and Colin were first linked five years ago in 2017, and became engaged in 2019.
One year later, the two stars said ‘I do’ during a romantic, intimate setting. That same year, the Marriage Story actress opened up to Parade about what ‘drew’ her to Colin.
‘He’s very optimistic, easygoing, funny, nice, and those are the qualities that really drew me to him,’ she explained.
