In the coming days, Real Madrid’s plan is to officially announce Kylian Mbappe as their player from the 2024-25 season onwards, ending months (and years) of speculation. However, the official ceremony will not be held immediately, because of the 25-year-old’s involvement at Euro 2024 – and because his Paris Saint-Germain contract does not expire until the end of June.
It means that Real Madrid supporters will be made to wait for the unveiling, but the club does have dates in mind for Mbappe to be presented at the Santiago Bernabeu. According to Diario AS, the plan is for this ceremony to be held on either the 15th or 16th of July, just days after the European Championship final, which France have a very realistic chance of participating in.
Understandably, there has been plenty of excitement generated by the Mbappe saga, but it will all be put to rest soon. Real Madrid have got their man, and it will be official very shortly.
