Kylian Mbappe celebrated in front of Jan Vertonghen after the Belgian defender scored a decisive own goal late in the match against France.
Didier Deschamps’ men secured their place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 thanks to a 1-0 victory against the Red Devils.
Vertonghen was the unlucky player as he found the back of his own net with five minutes remaining.
And Mbappe rubbed salt in the former Tottenham defender’s wounds by running straight towards him and shouting words in the Belgian’s direction.
The former PSG star was then given a stern warning by the referee and immediately protested.

Vertonghen and Mbappe clashed earlier when the Frenchman went down in the box
The incident happened minutes after Vertonghen was left unimpressed after Mbappe went down in the penalty area.
He accused the Frenchman of diving and tensions escalated when the two players clashed after 71 minutes.
Referee Glenn Nyberg then stepped in to calm the situation, with the match still scoreless at that point.
The closely contested match looked set to go into extra time until Randal Kolo Muani unleashed a shot inside the box which was deflected by Vertonghen before finding the back of the net after 85 minutes.
