Keanu Reeves took the stage with his band Dogstar for their inaugural concert on their latest tour.
The Matrix star appeared casually unkempt, sporting long hair and a several-month-old beard growth, while donning a dark gray T-shirt and slacks at Saint Rock in Hermosa Beach, Southern California.
The 58-year-old actor, joined by his bandmates, played the guitar with evident happiness as they embarked on their first tour in two decades, consisting of 26 dates concluding in Nashville in December.
Reeves engaged with the audience, grinning at fans during the performance, though there was no sign of his artist girlfriend, Alexandra Grant. Dogstar, an alternative rock band from Los Angeles, found initial success in the mid-1990s to the early 2000s, drawing attention due to Reeves being the band’s bassist.
Their current tour, titled Somewhere Between The Power Lines and Palm Trees Tour, is named after their unreleased 2023 album. The next stop for the band is in Phoenix, Arizona, followed by a series of cities across the United States.
This musical endeavor follows Reeves’ recent shirtless appearance in Capri, Italy, where he showcased his toned physique during a yacht day. The actor, who donated a significant portion of his earnings from The Matrix film to leukemia research, has a close bond with his sister, Kim, who battled the diseɑse for a decade. Reeves’ dedication to supporting ca𝚗cer research led to the establishment of a charity foundation, and he continues to contribute to children’s hospitals and ca𝚗cer research while maintaining a low profile regarding his philanthropic efforts.
