Even Wonder Woman needs a few fun girly accessories.
And on Tuesday, Gal Gadot was spotted out in a little white dress and white pumps as she turned up at the lunch to launch Gucci’s new perfume at the Bowery Hotel in New York’s Soho district.
The 30-year-old is the very beautiful face of the brand’s Bamboo fragrance. And it sounds like she’s enjoying the perks – which she described as ‘a lot’ – that come with the job.
‘I don’t want to brag, but I’m very happy,’ the Israeli actress told Entertain This! at the event. ‘It’s like a little girl in a candy store.’
Gal, who plays Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, looked bright and beautiful at the lunch. But she readily admitted it took ‘two hours of hair and makeup’ to get her into shape, adding, ‘seriously, at 8am, I wasn’t looking like that.’
In fact the star earlier shared an instagram selfie of a make-up artist and hair stylist primping her to perfection, with the message: ‘Good times! #Guccibamboo.’
The actress was much more casually dressed when she arrived at the Bowery Hotel first thing in the morning in a black trench coat-style jacket over a white T-shirt with the words ‘Day Dream’ emblazoned across the front in large black letter.
The former Miss Israel showed off her 5ft 10ins figure in skin tight black leggings and black flats.
Gal, who shares three-year-old daughter, Alma, with her Israeli businessman husband of seven years, Yaron Varsano, has been busy promoting her superhero character of late.
On Saturday the new Wonder Woman was at Comic-Con in San Diego at the Women Who Kick A** panel along with Game Of Thrones’s Gwendoline Christi and Agent Carter’s Hayley Atwell.
Kicking a** is actually fairly easy for Gal who learned a few moves when she served as a soldier with the Israeli Defense Forces for two years as part of the country’s compulsory national service.
In a cover interview with the August issue of Fashion magazine, she revealed: ‘The military gave me good training for Hollywood.’
Gal has previously said she impressed Fast & Furious director Justin Lin in 2008 with her knowledge of weapons and also did her own stunts in the three movies she appeared in for the franchise.
All this will stand her in good stead for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, due out on March 25 and her character’s own standalone film, Wonder Woman, due out in 2017.
It will be the first time the character has been portrayed on the big screen in its 70-year history, although Lynda Carter played Wonder woman from 1975 to 1979 on ABC.
A proud Gal told Fashion Wonder Woman ‘is the ultimate symbol of strength. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d grow up to be in a movie playing someone who influenced as many women as she has.’
