Birdman is happy to be called the rap legend’s adoptive father by fans because he raised Lil Wayne from a young age: ‘I’m just doing what should be done’

The rap mogul says Birdman founded Cash Mo ney Records and is the father of several of its biggest stars.

Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Ronald “Slim” Williams founded Cash Mo ney Records in 1991. Before signing Drake, Tyga, and Nicki Minaj, the team found their niche by signing New Orleans artists.

Birdman discovers new musicians. He met 8-year-old Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter Jr., known as Baby D, in the label’s first year, which was his greatest achievement. Carter joined Cash Mo ney for 12 years in 1995, four years after their initial meeting.

BG, known to most fans as Christopher “Lil Doogie” Dorsey, had been signed two years earlier, thus this was no breakthrough for the label. BG’z members Baby D and Lil Doogie recorded “True Story” in 1995.

Birdman makes every attempt to provide emerging talent opportunity while they seek fa me. The record producer said he raised the kids in an interview. Birdman said his mother kidnapped Lil Wayne. In an Apple Music interview from 2018, Birdman said “she didn’t want Wayne with me because she knew how I was living”.

Birdman said Wayne moved back in with BG during his album recording.

Rapper “Still Fly” said, “BG has lived with me.” His mother gave him to me. When asked his age in the interview, he said BG and Lil Wayne were 13 and he was 17 or 18. Birdman said, “I was a kid. Young people raise youth.

Even if his story may be true, his age is different. In 1996, BG launched his solo debut, “Chopper City.” If his record had been released in 1995, the young rapper would have been 15, Wayne 13, and Birdman 26.
