In a recent interview with Extra, actor Tom Holland announced that he will take a break from acting after participating in Apple TV+’s new psychological horror series called “The Crowded Room”.
This decision was made after Tom Holland’s difficult and strenuous scenes as Danny Sullivan – a notorious criminal with 24 different personalities, in “The Crowded Room”.
“I’m no stranger to hard work. I’ve always lived with the ideal of working hard. I really liked it, but then movies made me feel pressured and depressed. There was a time, I really want to disappear from here, want to go to Mexico to breathe the sea breeze and air. And now, I think that is about to come true with the decision to pause filming for a year” – Tom Holland expressed.
Speaking to EW last month, Tom Holland said he highly appreciated his role in “The Crowded Room” but he also admitted that this character pushed himself beyond his limits. It led to “a bit of turmoil” in his personal life.
“I saw myself in that character just like in my personal life. I remember being so upset and wanting to shave my head because I needed to escape this character. But our drama is In the middle of filming, I had to put that thought aside” – Tom Holland said.
The actor added about his plans after filming “The Crowded Room”, he will spend time with family, friends and also allow himself to rest and travel.
“The Crowded Room” is a film based on a true story about the character Danny Sullivan (played by Tom Holland) who was arrested after participating in a shooting in New York City in 1979.
The fascinating thriller will be told through an interview with interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried). The film will officially premiere on Apple TV+ on June 9.
