While Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry is an anomaly for what he can do on the basketball court, he’s even more unique for being elite on the golf course as well. Showing off his golf ability all summer long, Curry has won tournaments, made hole-in-one shots, and has proven himself as an impressive two-sport athlete.
During a recent episode of the Aarthi and Sriram podcast, Curry’s longtime Warriors teammate Andre Iguodala was asked how the superstar point guard is such an elite basketball player and golfer. Iguodala’s answer: Unmatched hand-eye coordination.
“I have an answer why Steph is good at anything, hand-eye coordination,” Iguodala said. “… I’ve never said this, and I don’t know if – I don’t know, it’s a compliment. Steph is somewhere on that spectrum. Where he’s like this weird human being. Where he sits above us all with his skillset. Every sport I’ve seen him play, he’s good at. And he loves golf, so you know how it goes when you have a passion and you’re good at something, good things are gonna happen. So that’s why he’s so good.”
Iguodala has always been one of Curry’s biggest supporters, having been a huge part of Golden State’s dynasty since their first championship in 2015. For Iguodala, he believes Curry is simply above everyone else when it comes to his hand-eye coordination and physical ability.
