Steph Curry’s shooting ability has dominated the NBA throughout his career. The veteran guard is widely regarded as the greatest shooter in league history. According to former Golden State Warriors teammate Andre Iguodala, Curry’s elite shooting ability can be put down to one specific thing: hand-eye coordination.
When speaking on a recent episode of the “Aarthi and Sriram Podcast,” Iguodala revealed Curry’s natural hand-eye coordination is why he’s so good at every sport he tries.
“I have an answer why Steph is good at anything, hand-eye coordination,” Iguodala said. “I’ve never said this, and I don’t know if – I don’t know, it’s a compliment. Steph is somewhere on that spectrum. Where he’s like this weird human being. Where he sits above us all with his skill set. Every sport I’ve seen him play, he’s good at. And he loves golf, so you know how it goes when you have a passion and you’re good at something, good things are gonna happen. So that’s why he’s so good.”
Curry spent the first part of the offseason impressing on the golf course, which further strengthened Iguodala’s point.
Curry is an elite shooter, and regardless of what makes that possible, he will continue to shoulder a heavy burden within the Warriors’ offense for as long as his shots keep falling.
Fortunately for Golden State fans, Curry has shown no signs of slowing down and hasn’t ruled out extending his career into his 40s, so there will be plenty more big moments and game-winning shots in the coming years.
